One Day Tour To Firefly and Bukit Melawati (Monkay Feeding)

The journey from Kuala Lumpur takes one hour, driving through small villages (Kuala Selangor). This tour also includes Bukit Melawati (Lighthouse-Monkey Feeding) and the firefly colony. Explore the ancient Dutch Fortress atop Melawati Hill, also, may have chance to enjoy the beautiful sunset there.

After dinner, witness the spectacular thousands of fireflies lighting up the  Berembang trees along the river which are reminiscent of a twinkling Christmas tree. All visitors are boarding into the 4 seated wooden boat with lifejacket.

Here, millions of fireflies present us with a dazzling display of lights flickering in synchrony that resemble twinkling electric lights on a Christmas tree.

Enjoy the magnificientt male fireflies flash three times per second, while the female-emitting a glow of lesser intensity flash only once in three seconds. Only male fireflies flash in synchrony.

You will have opportunity to spend a few wonderful time beside these Berembang tree, marveling at the wonder of nature before returning to the jetty and heading for Kuala Lumpur.

**Dress casually and bring along rain gear on wet days. Departures might be cancelled if there is too much rain the coastal area.
